Midsummer Baker

Midsummer Baker - Megan Derr Midsummer Baker is the first Megan Derr book I've read. For such a short little thing, it achieved a level of cuteness that I found impressive.

This is a story about Marcy and his long-lived crush on brothers Boyd and Tye (aka Those Withers Boys). When we meet Marcy he's in the loft of a barn with a bottle of whiskey. For some reason this had me picturing him as a big and burly baker boy. Those Withers boys are half faerie pranksters. That had me picturing them as willowy and impish. I was wrong on both counts.

Those Withers Boys? Rough and tumble .

Marcy? Kind of short and small-ish. Marcy is also quite shy around Boyd and Tye. As shy as he is though, he steps up when Boyd and Tye might be in some real trouble. Marcy and Those Withers Boys are loyal to each other even if they don't know about each other's loyalty.

This book had one of my favorite things; the hands-off ejaculation. I don't know if this really happens to guys when they're extremely turned on but when it happens in books it delights me. It also gives me penis envy. Party trick, anyone?

Oh, and the brothers? They're lovers, so if you don't dig that then you won't dig this little ditty.
