The Only Easy Day (Sanctuary, #2)
Ordinary, Ordinary, An Ode To The OrdinaryI've read a couple of great books lately
So maybe that's why I feel this way
This book, like the first one, had me almost asleep
So I really can't say that it was more than okay
I almost want to say that the book didn't get a fair chance because I've just read some awesome books but a book should be able to engage me no matter what and this book didn't do that.
RJ Scott seems to have a knack
For writing characters that I find boring
Military men usually make me yell *SQEEEEEE*
But Dale and Joseph had me damn near snoring
I was so bored with these guys that I was kind of annoyed because I wanted them to have more presence.
Dale and Joseph don't meet until about 50 percent
Which I thought meant the romance would burn slow
That would have made the book so much better
But they're declaring love after a few days and a suck and blow
Really the love came out of NOWHERE.
Unlike in the first book, there was action in this story
But even the action was blah
It was kind of like watching a made-for-tv movie
Where the commercials are better than the main show. Ha!
So, while the writing in this book was okay,
And that's why it got 3 stars,
The story and characters were just too bland
Even if there was a high speed chase in a sports car
I can't really recommend this story, but if you're looking for something to fill the time then maybe try this book. I just was not impressed though.
